Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Soluma ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use the iOS application.

Soluma is operated by Leadcwg.

TL;DR

• Soluma does not require an account.
• Soluma does not track you.
• Soluma does not sell or share your data with advertisers.
• Your location is used only to fetch local UV data and is not stored on our servers.
• All your usage data (sun history, preferences, sessions) stays on your device.

What information does Soluma access?

Location (when in use)

Soluma requests location access only while the app is in use. We use your approximate coordinates to fetch local UV index forecasts from Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com).

• We do not store your location on any server we control.
• Open-Meteo receives the coordinates as part of the public weather request.
• You can also enter a city manually instead of granting location permission.
• You can revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings → Soluma.

Usage data stored on your device

The following data is stored locally on your device using iOS storage (AsyncStorage). It never leaves your device:

• Skin type preference
• Notification preference
• Theme preference (system / light / dark)
• Recently selected locations
• Sun exposure session history (start/end timestamps, totals)
• Daily sun history used by the Week screen

If you delete the app, this local data is removed.

Notifications

Soluma uses local notifications to remind you of upcoming safe sun windows. Notifications are scheduled by your device — they are not sent from a remote server.

You can disable notifications inside Soluma (Profile → Notifications) or in iOS Settings.

What Soluma does NOT do

• No analytics SDK
• No advertising SDK
• No crash reporting service
• No third-party tracking
• No user account or login
• No data sold to third parties
• No payment processing in v1.0.0

Third-party services

Soluma communicates with one external service:

• Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) — for UV index forecasts. Open-Meteo's privacy policy.

We do not share any identifier with Open-Meteo. The request only contains the coordinates needed for the weather forecast.

Children

Soluma is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated via the App Store update notes.
